Chosen to illustrate visual minutes to summarise the University of Salford's Learning and Teaching Strategy Day.

The conference consisted of a series of presentations along with breakout groups to discuss some of the important topics covered.

The two landscape illustrations are my interpretations of the activities happening on the day and the hierarchy of the staff members involved.

The two portrait illustrations act as metaphors for some of the topics being discussed i.e. the importance of clearly defining a person's role within learning and teaching and how e-assessment can be used as a powerful tool.

I sketched my illustrations in pencil throughout the day and then went away to finalise the line work in pen and ink before scanning the images into photoshop to add colour and bring the scenes to life.
